Locking Down Orders

We're waiting for 15 backers to finish their checkouts so we can lock down all the orders and start ordering extras.  If you are one of the outstanding backers and are having problems with checkout simply email us with your mailing address.  If you have a shirt as part of your order please give us your shirt size (S-6XL).

Colorist

We've found a colorist!  We are pleased to announce Travis Walton will be coloring Nexus.  Travis has enjoyed working on a wide array of projects for numerous companies. Those projects have included storyboarding, logo design, character design, textile design, and web comics. They also include designing toys for Star Trek, Batman, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also produces illustrations for books, magazines, games, and collectible cards. Over the span of these last twenty years he has worked as a penciller, inker, and colorist in the comic book industry

Progress Update

LITHOGRAPHS
We have mailed out the Nexus Statue Lithographs!  If you ordered one you should have received tracking.  The only exception is the retailer orders with 10 lithographs as we are looking for a sturdy way to mail the prints without damage.  We are still hopeful they can go out tomorrow!

GULACY PRINT
The prints have been signed by Steve and Gulacy and will soon be signed by Baron as well.  What a treat!

NEWSPAPERS
Now that we have a colorist we are moving forward with the details on the newspaper.  We are looking into different printers that can give us a good quality paper and printing at the size Steve is looking to print out.

STRIPS
Each month will consist of 4-5 "Strips".  Each strip could be 1 or several pages (i.e., Strip #1 is 4 pages).  We currently have Strip 1 colored awaiting Steve's final approval!

Strips 1-19 are inked and lettered waiting for Steve to give them a final look over before going off to the colorist.

Strips 20-45 are scripted and thumbnailed and many penciled.  Steve wants the dialog nailed down for all 45 issues before we move forward with printing dates.

In the meantime, we're going to start releasing NEXUS at Comixology.  We're assembling all the issues starting with Nexus Capital #1!

That's the update for now.  Hopefully the last 15 will finish checkouts and we can move forward!

Why BackerKit?
We had a 30% error rate last Kickstarter campaign which is completely unacceptable.  Accommodating special requests, tracking backers that didn't complete their survey and manually tracking changes and add ons was simply too much.  BackerKit allows us to track everything and you are not signing up for anything.  They partner with Kickstarter to make the whole experience smoother.  They also send the orders directly to our shipping partner, ShipStation so there are no address errors.  Invoices are printed directly from your checkout which also cuts down on manual entry errors. What if I don't want to use BackerKit?
Not a problem - Send me a note via Kickstarter with your shipping address.  If your pledge level included a T-Shirt, send me the size and I can manually process your order.

If you want to change levels that can easily be done right at the start

 If you ordered or added on a Nexus Statue Lithograph, we are processing those this week for mailing on Friday!  You will receive tracking when your order ships.  This is only for the Lithographs, the rest of your order will ship at a later date.

Nexus Capital prints are IN HOUSE and signed by Steve and Gulacy.  Baron will be signing later this month.

SURVEYS

We will be sending an email with a special link to BackerKit surveys in the next few days. It is important that when you receive the survey, you get it back to us as quickly as you can. Our ability to make an order depends on receiving this information. Filling out your BackerKit survey is not required, but will help out our project tremendously, and help us get your rewards out to you quicker.

You do not need to make a login and password to fill out your survey, just fill it out and you’re all good to go!

In the BackerKit survey, please answer any questions we may have regarding your pledge, provide shipping information, pay for international shipping if you forgot, and if you want you can even order more items or “add-ons”. GULACY NEXUS CAPITAL PRINT

The original cover is pen and ink, not color so Steve reinked part of the piece to give it more of a collaborative feel and is coloring it himself using the original colors as a base.

T SHIRTS

Steve edited the design to work better with black and we have the sample enroute.  We are going with Hanes Preshrunk Tagless Tees that come in Sm-6XL.  We are not charging extra for shirts that came with your order.  We are charging an extra $5 for 2XL and larger shirts when you add on extra shirts.  This is an exclusive shirt and you will not be able to order it again.

LITHOGRAPH

We have extra copies of the Lithograph for order.  $50 for the regular or $30 for a damaged copy.  Only damage is to the black border.  No damage to the actual image.  This is a high quality lithograph!
