Envelopes, boxes, and bags - oh my!
Everything for newspapers is in house! Tomorrow we get the Kickstarter Tees, Backpacks for the boxes and the papers and prints signed by Baron!
To date we have spent over $60,000 on this project between paying all our hard working contributors, all those lovely credit card and Kickstarter fees, postage costs, getting Gulacy and Baron here to sign and all our wonderful extra! Not to mention the number of strips has grown from 8 to 76 pages! Steve is a believer in go big or go home! He is also a big believer in not letting anything go that doesn't pass his high quality standards. We hope everything you receive will exceed your expectations!
By now you should have received your month of digital releases (if they were part of your pledge level). We would love your feedback! Good or bad - we're putting together the letter column - speak now!!

Because it's just me processing all 450 orders, I tried to come up with different ways to guarantee not screwing up your order and decided I will be issuing gift cards to 1 year subscribers so you can sign up for a free subscription. This will put you in the system so you can track orders, orders will automatically be sent to our shipping system monthly, and everyone should be happy!
NEWSPAPERS arrived in house end of last week and will be shipped out Friday pending arrival of our order of envelopes. We were originally going to fold the newspapers twice, but after receiving the actual paper found that the high quality paper was better folded just once. That meant we had to order a different size envelope!
BASIC BOXES will be shipped later this week, possibly next pending arrival of extras, all expected in house tomorrow. All Basic Boxes should ship by February 16th.
PREMIUM BOXES will start shipping next week pending receiving signed newspapers back from Baron. He received papers this week and will sign and return them quickly! We will have a ship date when papers are mailed back from Baron.
I have help standing by ready to bag/board/assemble packages. Once we receive them back from Baron Steve will sign them and off they go.
Every project experiences hiccups. With this project it was 2 colorists and 3 printers over the past 3 months. We're pleased to say we have found replacements for both positions and are in the final stages of putting together paper #2!
The schedule is orders are taken the 5th of the previous month to the 4th of the ship month. Example:
Orders taken: January 5th - February 4th
Ship date: February 5th-15th.
Billing date for March mailing: February 15th (auto charge for monthly subscribers)
Paper #2 may also ship a tad behind schedule, but we should be on schedule to have everything in house by April 5th for Paper #3.
I hope that helps clear up the scheduling.
